Privacy Policy
Who we are
rrmyers.com is the personal site of Rich Myers. The public site introduces the project; RRMyers Social is a private social app for people who create an account. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site and app, we may process:
- Account details — email address and password (handled by our auth provider), plus a username and display name you choose.
- Profile — optional bio, avatar image, website link, and similar fields you add.
- Content you create — posts, comments, likes, follows, saved items, direct messages, reports, and in-app alerts related to your activity.
- Technical data as needed — basic logs and security signals (for example to fight spam, abuse, or account compromise). We do not run ad trackers or invent third-party analytics that are not part of operating the service.
- Session storage — cookies and/or local storage so you can stay signed in and the app can remember session state.
If you only browse the public www site without signing up, we typically collect little or nothing beyond what any static host needs to deliver pages.
How we use it
- To run the site and app (accounts, feed, profiles, messages, notifications).
- To authenticate you and keep sessions working.
- To moderate the community and respond to reports.
- To protect security (spam, abuse, unauthorized access).
- To contact you about your account when needed (for example password reset or account-related notices).
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We use infrastructure providers as needed to operate the service — for example static hosting (Cloudflare), and authentication, database, and file storage (Supabase). Those providers process data only to provide their services to us. Admins of the app may see profile and content data as needed to moderate and support the community.
Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, your profile and content are scheduled for removal after a soft-delete window (currently 30 days). During that window you can contact the administrator at [email protected] to ask for a restore. After the window, data is permanently purged. Some security or operational logs may be kept for a limited time as needed to run and protect the service.
Your choices
- Edit your profile (display name, bio, avatar, website, and related fields).
- Change your email from your profile settings where that flow is available (confirmation email required).
- Delete your account from your profile (Danger zone), subject to the soft-delete window above.
- Contact us if you need help with access, data, or moderation questions.
Children
This site and app are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the site or app evolves. The “Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy and rules.
Acceptable Use
RRMyers Social is a small adult community on a personal site. Be the kind of guest you’d want in your own living room.
- Be respectful. No cyberbullying, harassment, threats, stalking, or doxxing.
- Watch your language toward others. No excessive profanity used to attack people, and no hostile or degrading language aimed at others.
- No hate or harm. No hate speech, discrimination, or content that promotes violence or harm.
- No illegal or exploitative content. No illegal activity, exploitation, or sexual content involving minors — ever.
- No spam or attacks. No spam, scams, phishing, malware, or attempts to compromise accounts or systems.
- No impersonation. Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t impersonate admins.
- Respect privacy. Don’t share private messages or someone else’s personal information without their consent.
If something crosses a line, use the in-app Report tools when available, or contact an admin. Consequences may include content removal, mute/block, suspension, or account deletion — depending on severity and history.
